When I read this in Pogo's Sunday Punch, I had no idea the strip ended where it does. I didn't know Kelly did cliffhanger endings!
It does read differently this way, doesn't it, Larry? And in a few weeks we'll see that the book carries on and finishes the story line, where the Sunday comics don't.
I'll wager some NASA technician of the Mars probe had this cartoon taped to his control panel.
