Fire-House Five Minus Three
Yes, still part of the same, long, on-going arc, a Kelly phee-nomanon!
Actually, now that I look at this closely, I wonder if it was a mistake in the next to last panel that Howland has the firehat on and is doling out water—that should have been Bun Rab! Perhaps Kelly was daydreaming and didn't notice or care what he was doing. And who woulda had the dagnab bluster to call him on it. Ding ding.

Santa Sends for Help
Some time ago, OtherEric, of the Digital Comic Museum, sent over another issue of The Adventures of Peter Wheat, and I'm just now getting around to cleaning and tweaking the scans. I appreciate OtherEric's patience when that happens. He works so hard tracking down rare issues and scanning and sending, and then I just seem to dawdle around with 'em.
This is issue #21, and you may think it's a little early for a Christmas number, but if you'll look closely at the opening narration box, it says "The Christmas SEASON is approaching", and that's SORta now.
Thanks again Eric!

One of the Greatest Cartoonists Ever
A tip of the hat to Kip for a Walt Kelly alert, even though I had already clipped and scanned this strip from yesterday's paper (yes, I still read a newsPAPER). I still read the comics, even though I shake my head at some of em, but Pearls Before Swine is definitely one of the better ones for comic content (yes, even his shaggy pig puns).
