Gotcha, Miss Ma'm'selle
Greetings to those of you out there who have a thing for Miss Ma'm'selle Hepzibah. Indeed she is one of the finer females in the history of comic strips. We see her again in a couple of strips from now. Happy Sunday, Kelly Sunday!
Tom,
ReplyDeleteI definitely fall in that class... Hepzibah really looks great here. Though it is a bit odd to see her with a flesh-colored face. It's almost as if she's gotten a localized sun tan.
This strip is reprinted in the book THE COMICS SINCE 1945, I believe. That is the only other place I have seen it.
In case you were unaware, Hermes Press has pushed back the release date of its Kelly book (the one by Tom Andrae) to December. Here we go again??
Chris
Tom,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this blog. I was an 8-year-old when I was introduced to Kelly's work, visiting a teen age cousin whose father was a small town druggist who brought home all the Pogo reprint books. I had three days with a stack of Pogo. From then on, I was hooked. Seeing these in color is just fabulous. Thanks again for all the work getting these posted, your effort IS appreciated.
