This is another Easter Sunday strip that has avoided being posted until now. It's silly and sweet. I do believe that Lulu Red-Ride-An'-Hood is really Li'l Awry who played a big part in the dailies around this time of 1965 —wow— fifty years ago!

I often wonder if there's a definitive Swamp Talk dictionary somewhere, with definitions, first usage in the Kellyverse, and guesstimations of what roots or origins the word has.
ReplyDeleteGonechoo, if no one else has done it, I'd think you'd be a natural to be the one to do it.

ReplyDeleteHopefully this'll let you get a glimpse of how much I've adored Albert for so long. Anyway, it's so nice to see all these new posts you've submitted after a couple of months, Thomas. I really love this one^^
It's great fun to be back. And it's great fun to see your love of Albert! Kelly has been quoted as saying that Albert was his favorite of the characters, as most of us feel.
DeleteYeah he actually said in one of his quotes that Albert's character is a shadow of his own personality. And I'm sorry that the link didn't take you to the site my artwork was on. This tactic must not work on certain sites but anyways I'm planning on doing a few renditions of my own gator character Gossamer who also comes from the south, Albert and Gonechoo altogether in the Okefenokee sitting under a cypress and spending the whole day fishing. Hopefully I get Double G's appearance to look agreeable, haha^^
