In Durance Vile

I've heard from some few of you, passionately no less, to keep flinging these posts up to the 'net, but there's so many folks not heard from. Really? You don't mind if these full-color Kelly wonders go away? Oh, I'll finish up this arc, no matter what, but after that . . . well, I need to know that more than a few followers are really following. Peter Wheat? You're not gonna miss more Peter Wheats?

  1. If comments are what will keep you posting much-missed Pogo, here is a comment urging you to keep posting much-missed Pogo.

  2. Hi Thomas,

another Dutch comment here, I absolutely love these, get a kick out of the art, and would hate to see them to go away. Please keep em coming, but only if your schedule permits, off course. Love these!

    Bye,

  4. Absolutely keep posting them, Tom. Kelly's Pogo artwork from the mid-1960s and forward is the best of the strip's entire run, in my opinion. So I have really been enjoying the time and effort that you've been putting in to this blog and the "Pogo in Pandemonia" blog. We do appreciate your hard work, Tom even if some of us don't leave comments regularly. Thanks again!

  5. Thom,

Please... keep posting! Seeing these Sunday Pogo's again - or for the first time, in many cases - is one of my great pleasures. Your hi-res scans of the original pages are a real treat. I'm greatly enjoying the Peter Wheat, as well... and anything else related to Walt Kelly! I always enjoy your comments.

I would be really and truly heartbroken if you stopped posting!

    Glen

  8. And let's not forget... your colors are gorgeous and the restoration is flwless. As someone who has done this sort of thing... how do you do it?!

  10. Google reader thinks that 216 people subscribe to your blog through Google reader. And of course, that's just one way to follow your blog. Tough to know how that translates into passionate followers, of course.

  11. Count me in as one who enjoys your work (and has told you so in the past).

I wish I could, but I'm not one of those people who can come up with pearls of wisdom every week. But please note that your work is appreciated.

    Thanks again!

  13. sorry to be late, but better to be late than sorry later on. Was away last week and could not
"protest" last week. (Actually:of course NO protest, but rather a sincere plea) Pleeease keep on posting as much as your time allows for.
Obviously you cannot appreciate what a boon your Kelly-posts are to the fan community; because we just take them for granted by now.(and don't even express our gratitude to you)
Shame on us and a saint's halo to you!

  14. I skip the Peter Wheat stuff, but the rest of the Kelly is much appreciated. Any chance of posting the "bunny strips" he'd offer as alternatives to the more politically-charged ones? I've always been curious about those. Again, thanks for all your work!

  15. Oh oh. Sounds like a hostage situation. Comment or I kill the posts.

  16. Walt Kelly posts? Unappreciated?

At the juxtaposition of these two phrases, my keyboard recoils! :)

By the way, I'd love to know how that "P.T. Bridgeport's hat in the air convinces Deacon Mushrat and Molester Mole that Martians are invading the swamp" story arc finally arced.
