Mary Crispness

For those of you that don't know, I've had computer problems for the longest time now, not able to post scans that I've had ready for a long time. I'm also doing a bit of traveling, so I'm writing to you now on my iPad--- a little gizmo that I think Kelly might've liked. Ah, well.

ANYway, I wanted to wish you a jolly holly, and thank those of you who've been leaving good wishes in the comments gallery.

I really think that your patience will be rewarded within a week or so, the Apple gods willing.

In the meanwhilst, Mary Crispness to you and yours!

  4. Thanks for all of the work you've done creating this site! I'm a long-time Kelly fan, and I agree with you that the 1950-1953 period was his best.

  5. Oops, my first attempt at commenting didn't take... oh, well, once again:

Thanks for all of the work you've done creating this great blog! I'm a long-time Kelly fan, but I'm a bit young to have seen the early fifties strips.

    Merry Christmas!

  6. One thing I hate about blogs is that so often the comments disappear when posted. At least mine do. I'll just hope my last one gets here eventually. It was long and rambling and frankly, brilliant (just take my word for it).
Anyway, suffice it to say I love Kelly as you do, and thanks for your blog. He was my inspiration for becoming a cartoonist, along with Disney and Barks, and when I talk to any cartooning students, I tell them to look up Kelly's work.
    Thanks again.

  9. Gosh, I remember reading this one when it was first published. I wish Walt was here now. Think what he could do today.
