After a short time in hospice, my mother passed away yesterday, peacefully, as I sat with her. Deadlines and blogs are set aside for a few days.

  8. I was thinking about you and your loss at work, and a quote from Kelly came to mind:

"(F)or my mother, who went her way this year hoping to join some old friends, leaving word to "come gently on", here's one for the road:

    A song not for Now
    You need not put stay...
    A tune for the Was
    Can be sung for Today...
    The notes of the Does-not
    Will sound as the Does...
    Today you can sing
    For the Will-be that was."

  9. Just like with the memory of Kelly, I'm sure the memory of good times with your mum will live on in your life. Take care of yourself at this hard time. Best wishes from a fan in the UK
