    In the book this strip comes before the sequence for April 18-20 where Churchy goes home and talks to his mirror image, so that it looks like Pogo's informing him is the reason Churchy knows he's expected to fight the stranger. In the newspaper strips he learned that on April 13 by eavesdropping on the meeting.

    I guess the plot works either way.
