Independent Hose Co

On this date, back in '62, was a Saturday, which is when Kelly would break continuity with a stand-alone strip for the sake of weekend subscribers only.

This looks like an ad for a hose company in Danbury, Connecticut.

    Dog my cats, but this is a real fire department, and their Facebook page has a picture of Bun Rab carrying the hose!

    This strip was left out of Deck Us All With Boston Charlie.

    Appears to be at least currently the name of a volunteer fire department in Danbury. Here is a link to their Facebook page.
