    Can't give a lot compliments to the music notation, but there is considerable "decorous abandon" (is that an oxymoron?) in the illumination! And, "legerdemain" is a fairly good musical pun if taken without regard to spelling.

    Quite often I've abandoned decorously, and yes, it's true that I am a living example of an oxymoron. Besides, it's the illumination I'm paying attention to.

    I'd forgotten about "Bright Christmas Land" until Tom Spurgeon pointed to your wonderful blog site today.

    The tune is rather nice. I'll think about putting together a harmonized choral version of this for a caroling group I lead to try later this year.
