This blog site is not as easy to post on as it once was, and my life is not as simple as it once was, so I'll post as I can when I can and we'll see how it goes.

I want to remind Pogo addicts that Kelly's genius was not just confined to the Okefenokee, so I'm bound and determined to search and share for ALL things Kelly, but of course Pogofenokee stuff is dominant.

AND, I've been posting on this blog for nine years now (!), so 2 things: I may inadvertently post previous material, because I'm too lazy to research my own blog, and secondly my material runs somewhat thin, though daily strips will keep me going for a while, if nothing else.

Okay, let's try this blogging thing again. This site has had the heebie jeebies for the longest time now, so I'll do what I can to tally up some posts. I've got some dailies from the early '60s you might enjoy seeing. So if you're new here, welcome, if you're old here, welcome back.

Completely Befuddled

It was pointed out by Frits (in the kindest possible way) that my previous post HAD been previously posted some time ago, so again my apologies for that. I have posted so much stuff over such a long period of time that I'm completely befuddled on what to post next.

But I will make an effort to pull up some new stuff, so stay tooned. 

I'm still having technical troubles with this site and I think you might too if you're trying to leave comments (though for some weird reason spammers are getting through jes' fine).  I'll keep trying to get it all fixed, sooner or later.

Welcome to the Beginning

I have the hardest time getting on board this site to blog anything. But I think I'm on here again and I don't think I've posted this 1960s promotional booklet before. If I have, sorry, but I'm trying to get back on the Pogo train even as I keep getting derailed. These scans are by Mark Dillon that I distilled down to 4 per page.

I Love You Slobs and I'll Take Charge

These days, the state of the United States is somewhat in turmoil, due to leadership issues, starting at the top and bleeding on down. 

Kelly was universal and timeless in his assessment of politics. Read this Song of the Mole closely, and all the while keeping Mr. 45 in mind. It's kind of eerie how prescient Kelly was and eerie how more things change, things stay the same . . . or regress . . . or something.
